A good run out in today’s friendly for our PCC XI who fell short in their run chase. Well played to the Dunnington Cricket Club XI and good luck for the season lads.

The wickets takers for Pock were spread around with Harry Collins, Matt Smith, Will Foley, Lewis Chaplin Nathan Saltmer and Dan Littlewood each taking one a piece. In the PCC reply runs came for Saltmer (56*) got his season underway with a well played half century before retiring whilst there was also runs for Tom Binns (46*) & Dan Croft (41).

In our other friendly against a Hull City Council XI HCC hit 222 batting first, Archie Sumner the pick of the bowlers with two wickets. Rich Williman (78*) showed his class in the PCC reply hitting an unbeaten half century as Pock finished on 180, Jame Kirby (35) and Archie (29) also chipping in.

We look forward now to getting our league season underway next Saturday, training will be on at the club as usual on Tuesday from 6pm with all welcome.
