Steve has been a popular fixture at Burnby Lane ever since making his debut for the club over twenty years ago and became the very definition of a clubman. Steve held many roles at PCC over the years captaining our 3rd XI for over ten years, captaining our 4th XI in their first ever season and playing a vital role in its formation. Steve also captained and ran our former Vale Evening League team for several years and in all teams was always an advocate for younger players to be at the forefront of the action.

If that wasn’t enough, Steve was also the clubs groundsman for several years providing many great pitches in his time. As well as this Steve would also play a pivotal role on the clubs committee and was a leading figure in the move into our new clubhouse.

Everyone at PCC would like to pass on their thoughts and best wishes to Penny and the family. Steve will be sadly missed by us all at Burnby Lane but never forgotten.
