Hosted York 3rds at Burnby Lane in an important clash at the top of Division 2 Ebor, and after choosing to bat first things did not get off to a good start for Pock when they were reduced to 22-3 early on. Skipper Andy Anderson (66) and Dan Croft (30*) then rebuilt the innings with a well played 100 partnership. When Croft fell just before the 30th over Pock looked well set to push on for a big score, unfortunately the dismissal of Anderson shortly after his half century led to a middle order collapse, Connaire Brattan thankfully added some late runs with a few big shots before the hosts were bowled out for 175.
The York reply was going ok even with the loss of a couple of early wickets, Brattan (3-18) with the early breakthrough. York kept plodding on though and were well in the game thanks to a useful innings from T Martin (45). Tight bowling though from Ben Shingles (3-32) along with Billy Higgins and a couple of wickets burgled from Alex Downey off spin resulted in Yorks run chase fading away. Brattan then returned to pick up another along with Joe Shingles who finished the match with a wicket on the final ball to restrict York from reaching 90% as they finished on 157-9 giving Pock a winning draw and 26 important points in the race for promotion.
