Currently our oldest junior age group team, the U15s is a mixed team playing 20 overs-a-side on Monday evenings in the York & District Junior Cricket Association U15 Division 2 League and the U15 President's Cup. Training is on Friday evenings from 6:15 - 7:45pm. Junior membership costs £35 for the season and there are no match fees for junior games.
We aim to strike a healthy balance between winning matches (within the spirit of the game) and participation. Normally everyone who plays will get a bat or a bowl, sometimes both. Batting and bowling orders can change from match to match to ensure all players get a good amount of involvement. We also try to ensure that everyone in the squad gets to play a similar number of games during the U15 season.
We are here to have fun and support each other in getting the best out of individual players and the team as a whole.
Another key aim is to feed our senior teams and U15s regularly play for the senior 4ths & 3rds and occasionally the 2nd XI.
